The AMD Ryzen Embedded V2718 is an 8-core, 16-thread processor from the Ryzen Embedded V2000 family, built on the Zen 2 architecture with integrated Radeon Vega 7 graphics and a default 15 W thermal design power. Because the processor, graphics and memory controller are integrated, a designer can build a compact, fanless or low-noise mini PC or single-board computer that still runs a full desktop operating system, without the cost, power and space of a discrete GPU. The 15 W default power suits small enclosures and can be configured where the thermal design allows. Long-lifecycle availability makes the V2000 family suitable for products that must be manufactured for years, and the integrated display outputs, USB and PCIe lanes cover the connectivity of a desktop-class small system. Typical designs include office and industrial mini PCs, thin clients, kiosks, digital-signage players and edge nodes that run local data aggregation or inference. Pairing the processor with a small AMD FPGA covers any I/O expansion or interface bridging the system needs.
