AMD FPGA (Xilinx) Overview

BeiLuo supplies genuine AMD FPGAs, the programmable logic portfolio that came to AMD with Xilinx and now spans the classic 28 nm families and the newest adaptive platforms. The cost-optimized Artix-7 and Spartan-7 devices cover roughly 6,000 to 200,000 logic cells for bridging, control and modest DSP, while Kintex-7 targets higher-throughput signal processing with abundant DSP slices and high-speed serial transceivers. Zynq-7000 SoCs combine a dual-core Arm Cortex-A9 processor system with 28 nm programmable logic on one die, so a design can partition software and hardware functions without a second chip. Zynq UltraScale+ and Versal adaptive SoCs extend this further with multicore Cortex-A53 and Cortex-R5 processors and, on Versal, AI Engines for hardware acceleration. AMD also offers Alveo accelerator cards that package high-end FPGA and adaptive silicon in a PCIe form factor for data-center and compute acceleration. Because the logic is programmable, a single board can support many interfaces and can be updated in the field, which protects a design against changing sensor, protocol and interface requirements. Artix-7 and Spartan-7 keep cost and power modest for volume products, while Versal addresses the most demanding acceleration tasks. Every device BeiLuo ships is factory-traceable and includes an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file. Our FAE team helps you choose a family, estimate logic and memory, plan the configuration scheme and verify I/O and timing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose between Artix-7 and Zynq-7000?

Choose Artix-7 when the application is pure logic, DSP or interfacing and you already have a separate processor or microcontroller. Choose Zynq-7000 when you want the Arm processor and the programmable fabric on one die so software and hardware can share memory and logic without a second chip and a high-speed link between them.

Zynq simplifies the board and lowers latency between software and hardware.

Does AMD still supply the older 28 nm families?

Yes. Artix-7, Spartan-7, Kintex-7 and Zynq-7000 remain widely used for cost-sensitive, long-lifecycle products, and AMD publishes long-term availability for many of these devices.

For new high-performance designs, Zynq UltraScale+ and Versal add multicore processing and AI Engines.

What documentation ships with each FPGA?

Every device ships with an import declaration, a certificate of origin and a RoHS compliance file so the customs and compliance paperwork for a build is ready before the parts arrive.
